1960년대 중반의 미국 음악계의 많은 그룹들은

좀 더 복잡한 구성과 사운드를 경쟁하듯 내놓던 시기였다.

Dylan도 'Blonde on blonde' 등을 내놓으며 음악계의 조류에 휩쓸리기도 하였지만

오토바이의 사고 후 그는 1967년 돌연 컨츄리 취향의 차분한 사운드를 들고 다시 돌와왔다.

본 작은 수수께끼와 같은 가사와는 정반대의 단순하며 멜로디컬한 곡들을 수록하고 있다.
