포크음악의 전설,음유시인,Bob Dylan이 1963년에
발표한 앨범[The FreeWheelin']에 포함된 곡으로
Bob Dylan을 대표하는 명곡이라 할 수 있다.
Joan Baez, Brothers Four, Eric Clapton 등
팝의 거장들과 심지어 Elvis Presley 등을
비롯한 수많은 뮤지션들이 단골로 리메이크 했던
포크의 명곡중 명곡이며,
특히 이 노래는 1974년 양병집이 '역'이라는
곡으로 번안하여 국내에 발표한 후 지금은
고인이 된 김광석을 비롯한 우리나라 포크 싱어들이
'두 바퀴로 가는 자동차' 라는 제목으로 리메이크하여
부른 인기곡이기도 하다.
