 Eric Clapton은 자신의 백밴드만으로 본작을 제작하였다.
자신만의 소리를 되찾으려한 Clapton의 노력은
J.J Cale의 커버 `Cocaine`과 국내에서도 가장 인기가 높은
 팝 발라드 `Wonderful Tonight`라는 대규모의 상업적 성공으로 보답받았다.
물론, 상업적 성공 뿐만 아니라 블루스 락 `Mean Old Frisco`, 컨트리
성향의 `Lay Down Sally` 등 다양한 장르 속에도 색깔을 잃지 않는 연주는
 대가의 면모란 무엇인지 보여주고 있다.
[461 Ocean Boulevard]와 함께 그의 대표작으로 꼽히며
